...for May 4 when we will celebrate our newest Women's Fund grantees.

For the first time, this exciting announcement will be made at an afternoon reception at the Montecito Country Club where Women's Fund members, friends and guests will meet our new grantees.

in the April Women's Fund Newsletter.


The path to our May 4 Presentation of Grants has several steps:

 

  • Women's Fund members who joined by December 31, 2014 created a pool of donated funds to be distributed in Spring 2015.
  • After nearly a year of research, our Research Committee is completing a ballot of deserving nonprofit candidates to be considered for 2014-15 Women's Fund grants.
  • On March 22, 2015 Women’s Fund members will receive their ballot information package by email.
  • By April 10, eligible Women's Fund members will vote for the agencies they'd like to receive funds from the grants pool. For the third year, voting will be conducted by electronic ballot to avoid print and postage costs.
  • On May 4 we will present checks to our 2014-15 grant recipients at the Presentation of Grants Reception.


Would you like to help underwrite our reception?

One of the important principles of the Women’s Fund is minimizing costs so that we can direct maximum donations into the community. We’re doing that for this reception by asking attendees to pay a nominal fee at the door providing members and friends the opportunity to underwrite some of our costs. In addition, general reception underwriting is welcome or you might be interested in covering all or part of one of these costs:

  • Reception Program printing

  • 11th Anniversary Banner

  • Poster of our 2014-15 Grantees

  • Corkage for three cases of donated wine ($15/bottle)

Would you like to volunteer at this event?

Volunteering is a fun way to meet other Women's Fund members. We always need help greeting and registering attendees, setting up and cleaning up after the event.
