Site Visit Kick-Off—Inspirational and Informative
Changing Lives Together
This year's Site Visit Kick-Off on October 29th attracted over 200 members and guests who gathered at the First Presbyterian Church to hear from seven local nonprofit agencies—the 2014-15 recipients of $460,000 in Women's Fund grants last May.
"The mission of the Women’s Fund is to improve the lives of women and children in South County” said Joyce Dudley in her keynote speech. "The mission of my office is to pursue truth and justice by employing the highest ethical standards in vigorously prosecuting the guilty, protecting the innocent and preventing crime. The strong nexus is that we both employ the highest ethical standards to protect the innocent and prevent crime."
Women's Fund member, Mary Weimann, captured the excitment and details of the day in her story prepared for Noozhawk.

Inspired to be part of the Women's Fund?
The Site Visit Kick-Off inspired many women to join or renew their Women’s Fund membership. Join them today so that you too can be part of determining which agencies will be our 2015-16 grantees.
Remember—to be eligible to vote for our 2015-16 grantees, your membership renewal must be received by December 31, 2015. Renewing early assists the Research Committee in gauging the size of our grants pool. We don’t want you to miss out on “changing lives together,” so please renew now.
If you have questions about membership, contact our Membership Co-chairs, Julie Capritto and Susan Johnson.

Endowment Update
Great news! We are one third of the way toward meeting the $75,000 Challenge Grant goal we announced in August.
As you know, an anonymous donor pledged $25,000 to the WF Endowment if we raise $75,000 from others. And you are responding! One WF member honored the late Debbie Davidson with a $5,000 memorial gift. Another spoke to the long-term impact of the endowment, saying, “I want to make sure the work of the Women’s Fund continues long after I am gone.”

In Memoriam
A Letter from our Founding Chair
I am sad to report that Women’s Fund Founding Committee Member Fritzie Yamin passed away late last month. Fritzie had a wonderful sense of humor and a big heart. Generously, her family asked that in lieu of letters of condolence, donations may be made to the Women’s Fund in Fritzie’s honor.
As you know, we've lost three other Women’s Fund Founders in recent years— Meredith Scott, Dale Kern and Marsha Wayne. The vision and leadership of all these women made a huge difference in our community and left an indelible mark on the success of the Women's Fund.
We miss them. Carol Palladini
