Site Visit Experiences—Inspirational and Informative
Changing Lives Together
The Site Visit Experience is the second part of our 2015 Site Visit—small-group visits that each of our grantees has designed for Women’s Fund members and guests. They are being offered now through mid-February. Since last month, members and guests have witnessed:
- home-based child care in action at a Children’s Resource & Referral client site
- a kitchen tour at the Back Door Deli and a visit to a the Goleta Valley Community Center where seniors are served lunch by the Community Action Commission
- restorative justice in action at a Conflict Solutions Center
- stories at the Mental Wellness Center describing the impact of mental illness on families
- clients of the New Beginnings Counseling Center benefiting from the Safe Parking program.
More visits to grantees are planned for January and February, including tours of Sarah House and Transition House. If you are interested, please contact the Women’s Fund Grantee Liaison.

Remember—to be eligible to vote for our 2015-16 grantees, your membership renewal must be received by December 31, 2015.
If you have questions about membership, contact our Membership Co-chairs, Julie Capritto and Susan Johnson.
