Over the last few months, our Membership team has been busy – gathering members and group captains to learn more about the Women’s Fund. Upper left: A group of members and new members share information at the August 11 New Members Reception on the lovely patio of past grantee Gardens on Hope. Upper right: Individual Members met on September 13 at the home of Stina Hans for a wonderful afternoon of conversation and the opportunity to hear directly from Billi Jo Starr, PhD, Executive Director of current grantee Freedom 4 Youth. Below center: After being in-person for the Celebration of Grants, Group Captains were back to virtual for the September 8 Group Captains Meeting, learning from Women’s Fund committees and discussing their own group experiences. Please also welcome our new members this month: Lindsey Duca, Grace Kitayama, Mary Leslie, Alison McWilliams, and Jamie Montgomery. Have YOU Been Busy Too?The deadline for renewing 2022 Women’s Fund donations is just around the corner. Nearly two-thirds of our members have already renewed—thank you! If renewing is still on your to-do list, did you know that you can make your Women’s Fund contribution through your Donor Advised Fund or as a qualified charitable distribution directly from your IRA? It’s simple! Just click the “I will pay by: check, IRA distribution or Donor Advised Fund” button on the renewal page of the Women’s Fund website, and have the check mailed to 133 E. De la Guerra St. #15, Santa Barbara CA 93101. |
