We're thrilled to announce that the upcoming year will mark a significant milestone for us – two decades of changing lives together. What began in 2004 as a small group of women has blossomed to over 1,200 members committed to making a positive impact in our community.
The Women's Fund of Santa Barbara has remained steadfast in our core principles. Our doors have always been open, welcoming the next generation of women and embracing diversity. We welcome new members who will not only share our mission but who will become friends.
Our dedication to strengthening our community remains at the forefront of our mission. We strive to create a world that supports women, children, and families – addressing their challenges and helping them thrive.
We are proud to support agencies that collaborate to find creative solutions to some of the thorniest problems.
As we commemorate this significant 20-year milestone, we are building toward the future with the creation of the Legacy Society, a new membership initiative that will provide a lasting legacy of support, enabling us to continue our vital work transforming lives.

What a great milestone!
When I moved to Santa Barbara, I had never heard of anything like the Women's Fund. I was astonished and excited to learn that I could make a small donation that would be pooled with others to give grants that make a real difference in people's lives, right in my newly adopted community. It really came to life for me at my first Ballot Review Meeting. What a great model!
Meeting great women, doing great things
I was relatively new to Santa Barbara…thankfully my dear friend took me under her wing - introduced me to the Women’s Fund, too. The women I’ve met are extraordinary. I’ve learned about our community, even engaging with some grantee nonprofits directly. Congratulations WFSB, and thank you for changing lives - including mine!

I joined the Women's Fund three years ago right before the Covid pandemic. I was so pleased to be able to help my community even though I couldn't be attending fundraisers or events. The Women's Fund model is a great one to allow women to do so much without putting on a party dress.
Congratulations not only to the new members of the Women's Fund (of whom there are many) but to the women who've built this organization from the ground up and have been its foundation for many years. You've helped so many people live better lives.
