As you know, we awarded $520,000 in grants this spring, bringing our total donations to the community to $3.6 million since we began in 2004. While we take great pride in the tremendous impact our recent grants will have on so many in our community, we are already gearing up for our next research and grant- making cycle. As we look ahead to another big year for the Women's Fund, we have some important information to share with you, our members. A New Matching Grant To Build Membership Of utmost importance is the news that our generous benefactor, Betty Elings Wells, has again donated $250,000 in matching funds to help us grow our membership and increase the amount of funds we donate into the community. We are so thrilled by Betty's ongoing support and her strong belief in the work of the Women's Fund. Once all donations have reached a threshold of $350,000, every dollar over that amount will be matched 2 for 1. We know we can reach the threshold, but we want to go far beyond---to do that, we will need your help. The Challenges This year brings some operational changes that will require us to move to more online communication and more straightforward membership renewal. That means:
What You Can Do
We Are Here To Help We would be happy to talk to prospective members, a group of your friends or associates or to you. Please let us know how we can help, so that together we can meet the challenges of the coming year. Contact Tish Gainey at tish244@cox.net or (805)682-2911 Most of you should have picked up a membership renewal card from your group captain or at the Presentation Luncheon. Please fill out that card and send it with your check, payable to the Women's Fund as soon as you can. If you don't have a card and you're in a group, be sure to note your group name on your check. Women's Fund of Santa Barbara We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your continued support of the Women's Fund. Tish Gainey and Mary Garton, Membership Co-chairs
