[TEXT TO UPDATE FOR THE CASE WHERE THERE ARE NO GRANTEES YET] On May 5, 2021, the Women’s Fund awarded grants to 10 local nonprofits totaling $750,000 from membership donations collected during 2020. These grants bring the total awarded to local nonprofits to nearly $8.6 million since the Women’s Fund was founded in 2004.
Supported by Women's Fund grants, the remarkable organizations described below will
- Provide mental health support in schools and to youth in crisis.
- Expand the reach of medical services for families, low-income and homeless people.
- Sustain a successful preschool and expand child care capacity for working families.
- Distribute food to people experiencing homelessness.
- Provide educational support to close the achievement gap.
- Support homeless people living in their cars.
