Site Visits to Grantee Agencies

We celebrated with the seven 2015-16 Women’s Fund grantee agencies when they accepted their grants last May at our Presentation of Grants Reception. At our Site Visit Kick-Off, we learned how the agencies are using the funds to change lives in the community. Now we have the opportunity to experience personal visits with the grantee agencies and some of their clients.

The agencies need to limit the number of guests per visit so it is important that you register as soon as possible. Opportunities are booked on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration closes October 16th.

Visits will take place between October 26, 2016 and December 8, 2016.

Please do not contact the agencies directly. They have provided specific dates and times when they can accommodate Women’s Fund members and their guests.

2015-16 Women’s Fund Grants

Academy for Success - $60,000 to expand the mental health program that reduces the number of high school dropouts.
Doctors Without Walls - Santa Barbara Street Medicine - $65,000 to fund a fully outfit a mobile medical clinic for examining and treating homeless individuals.
Easy Lift Transportation - $55,000 to support the Children's Accessible Transportation program to increase the number of rides.
Garden Court, Inc. - $100,000 to provide capital funds to build "Gardens on Hope," a new low-income senior housing and services facility.
Isla Vista Public Improvement Corporation - $65,000 to build a permanent covered outdoor center at Children's Park.
Isla Vista Youth Projects - $75,000 to provide capital funds for the purchase of the Children's Center, providing child care for low-income families.
TRADART Foundation - $50,000 to purchase building materials, appliances and the transportation trailer for three 'tiny houses.'
