Biography

Mary joined the Women's Fund in early 2019. She grew up in an Air Force family, moving frequently until settling in central Illinois. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Champagne Urbana, Mary has a BFA in Painting. During her 40-year career in communications, Mary worked in a variety of industries, including small ad agencies, not-for-profit homes for the aging, not-for-profit publishing, engineering services, as well as Southern California Edison and Beckman Coulter, a subsidiary of Danaher. She was also active in the International Association of Business Communicators, serving on local, regional and global boards. Mary and husband Curt moved to Santa Barbara in 2018 when they retired. Since then, she has also served as VP Communications for the local chapter of Newcomers.

Biography

Renee joined the Women’s Fund as an Individual member in 2022 after relocating from the Bay Area. Renee’s professional background includes positions with several technology start-ups and founding an IT services company. She has been an active angel investor focusing on health-tech, technology and small business opportunities. Renee’s philanthropy efforts involved youth, homeless families and education including leadership positions with the Woodside High School Foundation, Girl Scouts of Northern California Giving Circle, LifeMoves, National Charity League and FIRST/Vex Robotics. Renee has a BS in Economics from The University of Alabama.

Roberta Collier

Biography

As a member of the Women's Fund since 2018, Roberta currently serves as a Board member and the Educational Events Committee Chair. She retired from a long career in public education that encompassed diverse roles in teaching, curriculum and administration at preschool through university levels in Northern California. She loves learning, has a rather nerdy background as a historian educated at UC Davis, and will happily engage anyone in conversation about how the past affects the future. Since moving to Santa Barbara in 2015, she and her husband Matt have been involved with several local not-for-profit agencies in their effort to add value to the community they dearly love.

Wendy Arienzo

Biography

Wendy joined the Women’s Fund in 2023, a year after retiring and moving to Santa Barbara. Wendy has a BS/MS in Materials Science Engineering from Brown University and a PhD from Stanford University in the same field. Wendy has enjoyed over 35 years in high tech manufacturing where she has held a variety of positions with IBM, NXP Semiconductors, Philips and most recently, Fujifilm. She serves on the boards of two public companies: Power Integrations and ICHOR Holdings. She is also serving as VP Communications for the local chapter of Newcomers.
