Kirsten is a new Women’s Fund member and serves on the Volunteer Engagement Committee. She spent 15 years as a pediatric speech and language therapist in Pasadena before relocating to Santa Barbara in 2011. Although no longer practicing, she remains a passionate advocate for disability awareness and inclusion. She transitioned into the nonprofit sector, serving on the board for Santa Barbara High School’s Friends of VADA, and the Weidemann-Steiner Syndrome Foundation. She is currently the Communications & Events Director at Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, where she has worked since 2016. She and her husband Andrew live in Santa Barbara and enjoy travel, politics, cultural outings, UCSB basketball, and local restaurants.
