$ 75,000 grant
2024-25
Data Management System Upgrade and Specialist

This grant will pay for new equipment, a data management system upgrade, and half of the salary and benefits for a new, full-time data management specialist.

More than 500 abandoned, abused, or neglected children are in the county’s foster care system each year. CASA recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who are paired with foster children by juvenile court judges to advocate on the children’s behalf throughout their foster care journey.

Courts rely on and value CASA’s work with foster children, but an outmoded data management system limits CASA’s ability to track and report meaningful data that is critical to informed decisions by the courts, funders, and current and potential volunteers.

CASA will upgrade their data management system, add new equipment, and hire a full-time data management specialist. These improvements will provide more detailed reporting to courts and funders, allow volunteers to better customize advocacy, and bolster volunteer recruitment efforts.
